At my own admission, I spend too much time at our local coffee shops, sometimes even doing a coffee crawl (the action of hopping from one coffee shop to the next). So this topic was a no brainer for me to write about. I’ve listed some of my favorite coffee shops here in NWA and what you’ll find there.
Airship Coffee:
Airship is a big name here in NWA, with 2 locations in Bentonville. Their first location on 5th street houses their coffee roaster and a cafe with lots of outdoor seating. They also have a limited, but amazing, food menu; including tacos and a brisket burrito that you should consider yourself fortunate to snag. But what has really helped put Airship on the map is their newest location at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. This location is groundbreaking because it is accessible only by foot or bike. Nestled in the Ozark mountains, it is a surreal feeling stumbling upon this open air cafe. They have a full coffee and beer menu and a more extensive food selection. You can pick from several different seating areas, including large swings, a beer garden and a rooftop patio. We highly recommend visiting this unique destination!
Onyx Coffee Lab:
A visit to NWA wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of Onyx’s impeccably designed locations. At the 1907 in downtown Rogers is where they house all their roasting equipment, it’s open to the cafe so you can watch the process while you sip on your coffee (though currently they’re not offering indoor seating due to Covid). At each location you will find a curated menu of innovative coffee drinks and food items that will impress! Their newest location inside the Momentary museum is unlike any other, with robots that make your coffee, plus a conveyor belt that delivers your drink on a pretty pink tray. Their downtown bentonville location just added a lot of patio space, perfect for enjoying an onyx delight and a croissant!
The Meteor Cafe:
Meteor is fairly new to NWA, their original location being in Austin, Texas. We’re so glad they opened one here because it has quickly become a hot spot in Bentonville. It’s a coffee shop, bike shop and bar all wrapped up in one, making it a great hub for road and mountain bikers. They serve amazing pizza and burgers, which pair perfectly with their selection of wine, beer and cocktails. A favorite of mine is their pecan pesto pizza paired with an aperol spritz. I find that it’s best enjoyed on their sunny patio! You can’t forget about their coffee menu either, they have one of the best chai lattes around.
Puritan Coffee & Beer:
Puritan is a popular choice among locals and tourists alike, and one of my personal favorites. Their chill, relaxed space is the perfect place to soak up local flavor while sipping on a latte, beer or cocktail. After 6pm cocktails are $5, just thought you should know. They also recently expanded their interior space, opening up a lot more seating options for friends and family to gather. Looking to enjoy the outdoors? They also have a good sized deck space overlooking Dickson street!

Arsaga’s Coffee:
Arsaga’s is an Ozark Mountain staple and each of their locations bring that small town, family-owned feel. In need of coffee and a quick meal? Visit sunny Church & Center, known for their artisan toast and bright yellow patio furniture. Need a quick caffeine boost, but still want to support local? Swing through their drive through location! Want the full Arsaga’s experience? Visit newly opened Arsaga’s Mill District, which has one of the best outdoor dining spaces in NWA!
Pour Jon’s:
Located in Siloam Springs, Pour Jon’s has been a staple in NWA for many years. Their menu includes coffee that they roast on site, plus food items such as bagel sandwiches and waffles. On Wednesdays they offer half priced waffles! I highly recommend the brown sugar waffle and a cappuccino. Their cozy, eclectic interior and spacious patio seating makes this place a gem in the Ozarks!
