Here at Dandy Roll we’ve been loving Cassie Winslow’s new book “Floral Libations” which features 41 uncomplicated, floral-accented drinks to help elevate your skills behind the bar. Use of Winslow’s book features both alcoholic and non-alcoholic recipes so even those that don’t drink can still be included! This weekend we’re trying the Lavender Gin Daisy, which is as easy to make as it is going down.
What is a Daisy? A Daisy is an alcoholic drink with more than a century of history behind it; it is typically red and/or mixed with grenadine. (Little history lesson! In the Daisy’s earliest versions fruit juice was used as the primary sweetening agent before the 20th century when grenadine was created and widely taken as the more superior sweetener)
