Centinelle was founded in Mexico City in 2010 by designer and illustrator Cristina Rose-Guizar. Rose-Guizar is influenced by her Mexican heritage, as well as her current home in Northern California and her love for plants, animals, and Japanese design. Each product is made from a biodegradable, plant-based fiber (cellulose acetate) and a portion of all proceeds goes back to a variety of animal welfare and environmental organizations.
