Augury Press specializes in linocut prints and their designs play with silliness, the fantastical, and sometimes pop culture. A linocut is a form of relief printing in which a design is hand carved into a linoleum block that is then inked with a brayer to produce an image. No two prints are alike, whether it is the registration of two layers being slightly off or there being some “noise” or “chatter” on a print (this is when bits of carved block outside of the image also get inked and printed).
